National Law University (NLU) Delhi was established in 1998 in the National Capital Delhi for providing legal education and conducting research work. The university is the initiative of Hon. High Court of Delhi to produce legal professional who can compete at the world platform in changing corporate and social environment.
The NLU Delhi as it is called in short has signed Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with various national and international agencies for knowledge exchange. In 2008 09, the university started Integrated Law Program for undergraduate students leading to the award of Dual Degree BA, LLB. Besides, Post Graduate Diploma Programs are also offered. The LLM and Ph.D programs shall be commenced in academic year 2010 11.
Moot Court is the specialty of this university under which court like environment is created for the practical training of aspirants; this gives then an edge when they start practicing law as a profession in courts. The University has entered into MoUs with National University of Singapore, Singapore International Arbitration Centre and Kaden Borris Partners, Lawyers, Gurgoan to host and conduct annually IICLAM moot competition. The University will also be organizing an annual Corporate Law Moot Court Competition in collaboration with UKCA Law Chambers, a leading Corporate Law firm of Delhi.

NLU Delhi AILET 2012 Exam Date – May 06, 2012 ( Sunday)
The National Law University (NLU) Delhi offers following study programs:
B.A., LL.B. (Hons.): Dual Degree Program
Duration: 5 Years
Total Seats: 80
Eligibility Criteria: 1. Passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks. For foreign nationals and NRIs minimum marks in qualifying examination shall be 65%.
2. Have been selected in All India Entrance Test conducted by National Law University (NLU) Delhi.
3. Age should not be less than 21 years (23 for SC and ST ) on the First day of July of the year of admission.
P. G. Diploma in Judging & Court Management
Duration: One Year
Note: Classes will be held on weekends i.e. Saturdays and Sundays.
Eligibility Criteria: Law Graduates (3 years course / 5 years integrated course) with minimum of 50% marks.
Age Limit: 30 years as on 1st September, 2009 (35 years in case of SC/ST candidates).
Total Seats: 50.
Admission: The University held entrance examination and prepares merit list of qualified candidates for admission.
Post Graduate Diploma in IPR and Patent Law
Eligibility Criteria:
Graduates / Post Graduates / PhDs of science, bio-sciences, pharmacy, IT, engineering or legal studies
Practicing Professionals, lawyers, scientists, etc.
Domain Experts, Inventors, Researchers, and Professionals dealing with IP and Patents issues
Undergraduate (final year) students of legal, science, engineering are also eligible to apply.

Training Programs
The National Law University (NLU) New Delhi has been bestowed with the responsibility of providing training Pre-Appointment Training for the Officers of Assam Judicial Services. The duration of this training program is 8 months. This is unique type of training program which comes under the administration of the Research Project Division of NLU New Delhi. This is a fully residential training program. Batch of 60 candidates, selected by the Gauhati High Court, are undergoing this training at NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI.
