School of Planning and ArchitectureThe School of Planning and Architecture had a humble starting in 1941 as a Department of Architecture of Delhi Polytechnic. It was later affiliated to the University of Delhi and integrated with the School of Town and Country Planning ESTB by govt. of India to provide facilities for rural, urban and regional planning. Today the School is a specialized University and is regarded as only one of its kind, which exclusively provides training at various levels, in different aspects of human habitat and environment. The School has taken lead in introducing academic programmes in specialized fields both at Bachelor's and Master's levels. The School has always been in the lead for extending education and research to new frontiers of knowledge. Human habitat and environment being the basic concern of the School, the spectrum of academic programmes is being continuously extended by providing programmes in new fields and emerging areas for which facilities are not available, as yet, anywhere else in the country. Eligibility Criteria: For Under Graduate Programs: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary –Class XII) Examination or its equivalent, referred to as a qualifying examination from a recognized Board/University for admission to B.E./B.Tech/B.Pharmacy/B.Arch. & Planning Courses as under:- | COURSE | COMPULSORY SUBJECT | ANYONE OF THE OPTIONAL SUBJECTS | B.E./B.Tech | Physics & Mathematics | Chemistry,Bio-Technology, Computer Science,Biology | B.Pharma | Physics & Chemistry | Mathematics, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology | B.Arch./B.Planning | Physics & Mathematics | Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology, Engineering Drawing | The candidates appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE provisionally subject to their fulfilling the specified eligibility conditions at the time of appearing for counseling. Admission to AIEEE is meant for Indian nationals only. For Post Graduate Programs- M.Arch.- Open to B.Arch./B.Planning or equivalent Degree holders. For M.Arch. (Industrial Design) candidates holding B.Arch. on equivalent Degree are eligible,
- M.B.E.M. - Open to B.Arch/B.E. (Civil)/B.Arch’s/Planning/B.E. (Civil) B.Arch.Engg. or equivalent Degree holders.
Candidates possessing Master’s Degree in geography / Sociology / Economics are also eligible for the specializations in Environmental Planning. Housing (Geographers are not eligible for Housing), Regional Planning, Urban Planning. Candidates possessing Master’s Degree in Economics/Statistics/Operations Research are also eligible for Specialization in Transport Planning; (v) 55% or more marks in aggregate at the qualifying examination (50% marks in respect of SC/ST candidates).
Sponsored candidates must have a minimum two years’ full-time work experience.
Selection: Selection will be made from among the applicants called for interview and/or test, on 1, 2 and 3 July, 2003 forenoon on the basis of merit. Candidates with valid GATE Score or UGC(NET) JRF are eligible for scholarship.

Eligibility: Master’s Degree in any of the above courses conducted by the School or its equivalent from any other recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture/Planning of the School or its equivalent from any other recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks and five years experience in teaching/research/professional Relaxation in aggregate marks as specified above, may be made in the case of exceptionally qualified applicants.
