Central Road Research Institute

Central Road Research Institute has its own history which dates back to 55 years back when Dr. Ernst Zipkis, a renowned road engineer from Switzerland was appointed as Director in May 1950.

However, Institute notable events marks from Institute's is written through it's continuous strive to improve existing technology and to develop innovative methods in the area of road and transport engineering during last 55 years. Since then the institutes history is marked with great events which recently included Local Area Network (LAN), e-mail and Internet facilities was commissioned alongwith the GIS lab and two Councils i.e. Management Council and Research Council.
